Biografia

Pianist and pedagogue

She performed at Teatre Olympia Barcelona in 1926 and later took part in the Concerts Simfònics Populars conducted by Joan Lamote de Grignon. At the end of the Civil War, she studied in Potsdam together with conductor Ataúlfo Argenta.

After her return to Barcelona, she took part in various chamber music projects with cellist Pilar Casals and the Agrupació de Cambra de Barcelona. With an important concert career in Barcelona, she premiered Iberian Preludes (1967) by Lluís Benejam and, in 1974, she performed the Sonata for two pianos and percussion (1937) by Béla Bartók for the first time in Barcelona (together with pianist Josep Vicens).

Teacher and professor at the Conservatori Superior de Música del Liceu for thirty years she taught a large number of musicians. In 1987, a square in the town of Martorell was to her and, years later, also a high school.
