Molins de Rei , 1936
He learned with his father Miquel Civil together with his brothers Francesc and Josep. Between 1906 and 1911, he lived in Paris where he studied at the Schola Cantorum with the Belgian violinist Armand Parent—founder of a violin school. Civil became a monk of Montserrat, and he introduced Parent’s ideas as the base for the violin learning at the Escolania de Montserrat.
He was victim of political-religious repression during the start of the Civil War and was beatified in 2013, along with 522 other martyrs.
