Organist, pianist, music critic and composer
He began his studies at the Monastery of Montserrat and later took piano lessons with Carles Gumersind Vidiella. He was pianist at a café and organist at the church of la Concepció. In addition, he conducted the Societat Coral Euterpe and the Orfeó Barcelonès and was music critic for various newspapers of the time. He composed religious music, songs and chamber music.
