Although there is little information about his background, it is very possible that he began his musical education with his father. He was interested in singing and published La voz cantante (Barcelona, 1914). At the time, he was known as ‘Mestre Marraco’. He composed songs, salon music and sardanes. He is co-author, together with S. S. Farrés, of the music of the sacred drama El Naixement de Jesús or Els pastorets catalans (1931) with lyric by Lluís Millà.
