Educator and composer

He studied with Enric Granados and composed music of different genres. It was not until the 1930s that he gained renown thanks to his music for the film El Café de la Marina (directed by Domènec Pruna) and the opera El estudiante de Salamanca (based on the play of the same name by Espronceda). It premiered in 1935 at the Gran Teatre del Liceu.

He composed incidental music, such as that for Terra baixa by Àngel Guimerà, still unpublished
